"In memory of our fallen brothers" reads the shrine built by members of Carpenters Union Local 608 at ground zero the week after eighteen carpenters were lost in the twin towers attacks. Hardhats stretch across the top, photographs, t-shirts, candles and cards are among the memorial items and tributes placed in the shrine by workers and visitors.
